Product Control - Global Finance Operations Centre/Daily Production of P&L

Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and mentor the offshore EMEA Sat Sites Product Control team based out of Gurgaon to instill a challenge mentality with a strong client focus.
- Develop a strong team of product controllers with sound technical understanding and deep bench strength and back-ups
- Build and maintain on-going relationships with key senior stakeholders in onshore and other offshore locations including the Markets Front Office, On-shore PC, Regional PC, Wider Finance, GM Middle Office and audit and control functions
- Deliver timely and accurate daily and periodic reporting with high degree of governance and auditable controls
- Ensure timely and efficient operation of key PC processes/controls operated onshore or offshore in areas of daily valuations, market data controls, daily P&L attribution and analysis, OMRC, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and controls, Fair Value Adjustments, Prudent Valuation Adjustments, Balance Sheet Substantiation, regulatory reporting, internal reporting etc.
Qualifications -
Skills/Experience Required:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent accounting qualification, MBA (Finance) from a leading management institution with at least 12 years of experience
- Knowledge of Product Control functions in a banking environment would be an advantage and exposure to multiple front office systems
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Greeks
- The individual should be fully conversant with the fundamentals of financial control in a banking environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; MS Excel/ PowerPoint (essential), Project Management Software (preferred), MS Access database (preferred)
- Proven ability to manage change / operational excellence with strong skills in organisation, collaboration, time management, prioritization and analysis, leading to achieved results
Orientation towards Quality (Six Sigma/Lean methodology)
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with senior and junior staff across multiple teams and geographies, raise constructive challenge, give and receive feedback positively, persistence, etc
- Exposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Experience of dealing with Front-office traders, in particular demanding traders or managing difficult situations such as trading errors
- Experience of managing a team, including performance appraisal and objective setting, giving constructive feedback and mentoring more inexperienced staff, experience in carrying out 4-eye checks and supervise work performed by others
