Client : A listed publishing organisation, a leading global provider of platforms, and content, and learning solutions for the digital world.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, data-driven leader to drive growth and operational excellence. As a key member of the leadership team, the VP of Operations will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes, while optimizing profitability and efficiency across the business unit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and oversee the performance and direction of mid-sized teams, consisting of over 1,000 employees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish the vision, direction, and culture for the team by setting clear performance expectations, managing individual and team goals, and ensuring accountability for meeting and exceeding performance targets.
- Oversee employee development through effective training, work allocation, and performance management. Responsibilities include staff planning, conflict resolution, recognition, and driving high standards of quality and productivity.
- Build and nurture productive working relationships with team members, peers, leadership, and cross- functional departments to foster collaboration and ensure seamless operations. Operations and Project Management
- Develop annual budgets, including sales forecast, operations forecast, vendor operational budget, capital budget, information systems budget and operating plans to support the programs to achieve the organizational goals.
- Manage workflow, handle escalations, proactively engage resources to address issues and effectively delegate workload across the leadership team.
- Works to build and maintain customer trust by solving complex customer support issues and proactively heading off negative service trends.
- Identifying and eliminating root cause barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality.
- Understanding and correctly utilizing resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies, and procedures.
- Developing and achieving performance goals and objectives in order to achieve customer support expectations.
Must Have:
1. Either B.Tech from IIT in computers or electronics with 10 - 15 years of experience in operations or MBA from IIM's or ISB only.
2. Should have worked in operations.
