Job Description Role Objective
- Running/Setup physical stores that are integrated with the online channel (that is already in place) enhancing the efficiency and scalability through omnichannel transformation by intelligent use of data.
- Set-up & contribute to the offline distribution expansion processes and create plans at the strategic and operational levels.
- Provide buyers (or potential buyers) with a seamless experience, whether they're buying in a brick and-mortar store or online from a desktop or mobile device.
Role Responsibilities
- Set up channel partners like distributors and continuously engage with them to grow the business.
Further, formulate & implement a distribution model with increased focus on cost optimization and efficiency.
- Involve in the strategic management and decision-making process after the detailed market analysis for the business expansion.
- Negotiate and finalize business deals including lease agreements at the most beneficial commercial terms
- Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandise activities, determining additional sales promotion, authorization stock clearance, and studying trends within the allocated budget.
- Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotions, display plans, analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
- Liaise with various teams including supply chain, customer success and finance to ensure range and stock levels are consistent with business requirements.
- Undertake store evaluation process by analyzing new retail locations and recommending viable options according to the distribution strategy.
- Developing strategies on brand tie up and BTL activities vis-a-vis competition / distributor in same line of products.
- Be the voice of the field / "Feet on the street" sales team. Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, surveying customer needs, trends, and tracking competitors.
Work Experience
- 10+ years of work experience in similar profile.
Knowledge/Skills
- Core expertise in offline retail (ideally in an early growth story phase of the organization).
- Should have handled a diverse & distributed field salesforce.
- High level of ownership, willingness to set up things from scratch, high emotional intelligence.
- Strong sense of personal ownership and bias for action.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong People management skills
- Strong business acumen with good understanding of overall Finance & operations
Education
Postgraduate / MBA from a reputed institute
