Role:
Peepul Capital is looking to hire a Vice President - Marketing and Brand Development as a strategic role for its portfolio companies. The individual will be a part of the Peepul Capital team and support our portfolio/ investee companies in developing marketing strategy and ensuring flawless execution. Portfolio companies tend to have their own marketing execution teams. More specifically the individual would be required to:
- Develop the category/ portfolio strategy and brand identity; use or develop insight to strengthen the competitive position of portfolio company brands
- Come up with innovative/ novel marketing strategies
- Build/ guide the marketing budget and secure buy in; be creative with spends
- Guide the portfolio companies on execution of marketing plans and assess efficacy of initiatives that are run
- Able to identify, work with and get great output from creative agencies, media planning and buying firms etc.
- Provide advice to the investment team during due diligence of prospective investment opportunities
Role-holder :
- Should have 10 - 15 years of experience in Branding & Marketing
- A sales stint early in ones career for 2 to 3 years is imperative
- Should have led the growth and success of at least a couple of brands so far
- Preferably from a premier management institute
- Understand how digital media works as a significant channel for brand growth
- Comfortable straddling the areas of thinking strategically and rolling up ones sleeves to take ideas into action
- Willing to be based in Chennai and travel nationally as required
- Entrepreneurial in nature and great at multitasking
- Able to easily build ones equity and relationships with founders, CEOs and marketing team of our portfolio companies
- The right candidate would be working in an FMCG company or performing a category strategy role in an agency
