We have an opportunity for VP- Legal with an Indian Organisation for their Mumbai location

Purpose of the role: Assist Legal Head by identifying, anticipating and mitigating legal risk.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Litigation:
- Strategy & Documentation - initiation of legal proceedings and active participation in strategy, research and arguments.
2. Corporate Legal:
- Structuring, drafting & negotiating SPA, SHA, IA, DOA, etc.
- JVs and joint development transactions.
3. Land Acquisition:
- Transaction structuring & documentation: Work with various top counsels, provide options to management on various deal structures.
4. Real Estate / Commercial Transaction Documentation:
- Responsible for drafting and vetting of various types of agreements like Lease Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, Mortgage Deeds, Development Agreements, Agreements for Sale, Leave & License Agreements, etc
5. IPR Management :
- Oversee the management of the Group's Intellectual Property and ensure timely renewals, oppositions, etc.
Profile Expectation:
Minimum Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate in Law from a reputed institute / Solicitor qualification desirable
Minimum Experience: 15-18 years post LLB experience, and at least 5 - 8 years in the real estate industry / Law firm experience desirable
Age: Under 45 years
- Should have expert knowledge of Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, RERA, MOFA, other applicable real estate laws.
- Wide exposure to litigation with good knowledge of procedural laws
- Should be abreast with latest developments in legal field.
