Vice President - Institutional Client Reporting - Asset Management - 15+ Years - Mumbai
Location: Mumbai
This role oversees the entire Client Reporting function for the asset management business. The position focuses on enhancing service quality, reducing costs for business units, and driving innovative advancements across the organization; particular emphasis on India as a strategic foundation. Responsibilities :
1. Ensure the accurate production of client reports, designing them to effectively present performance data, investment strategies, risk assessments, and market commentary, all in line with established guidelines.
2. Maintain data accuracy and integrity by implementing robust quality control processes and collaborating with data teams to optimize data collection, processing, and reporting.
3. Guide and mentor a reporting team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, while offering training and growth opportunities to enhance their skills and expertise in client reporting.
4. Act as the main contact for client inquiries on reporting and performance, conducting regular meetings to review reports, address concerns, and gather feedback.
5. Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, ensuring all reporting adheres to industry standards (e.g., GIPS, FCA), and implement internal procedures to maintain compliance and adapt to regulatory changes.
6. Create methodologies for performance measurement and attribution, collaborating with investment teams to accurately represent investment performance and risk metrics in client reports.
7. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to report on client reporting initiatives and outcomes, preparing presentations and materials for board meetings or high-level discussions.
Requirements:
1. 15+ years in management, with expertise in large-scale project management, strategic planning, and consulting within the industry, or equivalent education/experience.
2. Experienced leader in global asset management, driving growth, operational productivity, standardization, and process improvement.
3. Excellent communicator and collaborator, adept at influencing change in a matrixed environment.
4. Proven ability to mentor, develop, and build a leadership pipeline within evolving organizations.
5. Deep understanding of client reporting in asset management and strategic industry insights.
6. Experience with continuous improvement and automation in service operations.
