Job Description:

Role Responsibilities-


The role holder shall work as an IFRS 17 project manager (Individual contributor) with in Finance Portfolio change team; in addition to project management for GL implementation role holder shall support testing activities for accounting and reporting workstream align to overall approved Group IFRS 17 testing strategy.

- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the Finance System platforms - General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Disclosures and MI reporting.

- Create L3/L4 detailed project plans including risk and issue plan, communication and governance project plan; stakeholder management plan

- Create Test management plans and Test Sign-off reports.

- Analyze requirements and conditions and prepare Test Scenarios, Test Conditions & Scripts.

- Perform testing analysis to ensure that all business requirements are met and suitable test processes are in place to verify and validate them.

- Identify the test coverage of the scripts and prioritize them understanding the business impact.

- Leverage, maintain and administer defect management tools in an efficient and effective manner.

- Support test infrastructure, such as test management tools and test reporting.

- Support Group and country IFRS 17 teams and Finance and Insurance management team and project stakeholders in the testing process.

- Responsible for Task prioritization and resource allocation based on resource competency, timely delivery of tasks with highest quality and satisfaction to business partners.

Team Focus

- To develop positive relationships with peers, members of Finance teams (Finance Functional Leads, etc.) and IT liaisons.

- Promote teamwork within respective sub-teams.

- Assess development needs of team members and provide necessary help/ guidance for improvement.

- Identify training needs within the team and arrange for necessary nomination & approvals.

- Facilitate an open environment that encourages staff to identify improvement areas and effective solutions.

Skills/Experience Required-

- 15+ years of overall of relevant work experience in Insurance and finance domain

- Global project manager with working experience in overseas market preferably in Hong Kong/APAC Market

- Extensive working experience in creating Project Plans, Test Strategy, Testing plans, Test Management, Functional Testing Analysis of a big size finance projects

- Prior hands on experience supporting end-2-end testing for a significant change project in Finance General Ledger and reporting systems Financial Accounting and Regulatory Reporting domain

- Must have UAT Test Management experience working with senior business & technology stakeholders

- Must have Data Testing Experience reconciling data between data flows across multiple upstream and downstream finance systems

- Knowledge of software testing and defect management tools (HP Quality Center)

- Must have worked on Finance System Implementation Projects as an Individual contributor

- Must be able to produce high-quality documentation and has previously served as a liaison to user communities and management teams

- Must exhibit extremely professional demeanor and must be comfortable working with all members of the team including senior management

- Must have excellent attention to detail, be able to work within tight deadlines and within high pressure environments

- Proven evidence of strong communication skills used to successfully lead, coordinate and conclude business discussion sessions

- Ability to initiate and drive discussions with key stakeholders to effective conclusion

- Capable of organizing and managing day to day activities/initiatives for self & team independently

- Ability to take day to day operational decisions on critical tasks for self & team independently

- Good team player with proven ability of working with colleagues within/outside of own functional area/team

- Ability to multi-task on activities within & outside of the immediate functional area/team

- Demonstrated capability to learn and improve self & team's performance on an on-going basis

- Capable of undertaking transfer of knowledge through training/coaching within & outside of team

Additional Information / Specific Skills (If Any) :

Desirable:

- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger, Reporting Tools Infrastructure components, etc)

- Testing certification(s) (Certified Software Tester (CSTE), Certified Software Testing Professional (CSTP), ISTQB Certified Tester etc.)

- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Certification.
