Vice President - Human Resources (Only Female) Tier 1 College
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Collaborate with the Executive Team on strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with the best employees available and to position the organization as the employer of choice by being aware of policies, best practices and trends within the industry
- Participate in Executive Team meetings and other key staff/strategy sessions; look for value-add opportunities to positively impact the business activities at both the site and overall organizational level; recommend strategies to optimize effectiveness of people and organizational process and deliver services to enable business leaders to successfully meet their objectives
- Provide management, leadership and direction to the HR Team in India
- Partner with US HR Team to develop and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Promote the development of the HR Team to increase the capability and strategic value of the human resource function through high levels of performance and customer service
- Lead the human resources day-to-day operations in the India office, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, benefits and payroll
- Consistently ensure that personnel policies, procedures, and practices comply with applicable laws and are consistent with organizational values
- Represent HR in carrying out follow-up responsibilities in responding to employee concerns and other complaints/improper employee-related business activities; ensure counseling and prompt investigation for all legal-related matters; seek legal counsel when appropriate
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for employees related to their career development
- Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR/people-oriented strategic and operational plans
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the corporation
- Assist with organizational design and re-organization efforts as needed; ensure that all positions and organization structures are aligned with business objectives and desired outcomes
- Support diversity and inclusion efforts through development of programs that allow the business unit to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees
- Oversee the annual employee performance objective setting and review process and ensure that employees are fully aware of their standing within the company; continually strive for a peak-performance culture
- Provide coaching and support managers in the successful delivery of annual performance cycles to include performance improvement, goal setting and development programs
- Manage projects that are assigned as appropriate; examples include, but not limited to, organizational restructuring, compensation reviews, merit recommendations, recruiting analysis, turnover analysis, monthly reports, etc.
- Develop and manage annual human resources budget and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses
- Develop credibility with all employees as a resource, partner, service provider and problem-solver
- Perform other duties as assigned
