General Management

- Manage the administrative and technical functions of the Quality Control Department.

- Plan and monitor the department's budget and costs effectively.

- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Product Quality Management

- In collaboration with the plant team in units, ensures that the product quality meets internal targets and market expectation.

- Coordinate, direct and control raw mix design in coordination with quarry, production and process. Ensures the control of raw mix within internal target limit to meet clinker quality and stable operation of kiln.

- Quality review (once in quarter) performance requirement / deviation / comparison / market feedback, with plant QC, production, marketing and technical services team

- Take lead in maximizing the additive % usage and maintaining quality expectations, in coordination with plant team and S&M team.

- Lead technical studies to see the opportunity of using "grinding aid", AFR and alternate raw materials (ARM), as applicable, in coordination with the plant team with optimum cost and quality.

- Ensures the compliance of all the laboratory activities with regulatory and statutory bodies with respect to product quality and laboratory equipment. Liaise with statutory authorities including BIS, NABL, NTH (National Test House), and NCCBM (National Council for Cement and

- Building Materials) for compliance.

- Adherence to BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) standards for maintenance and calibration of chemical, physical, XRF, and CNA equipment

- Define, establish and implement short and medium term strategies to produce quality product and meet customer's demands at optimum cost and meeting / exceeding relevant BIS standards.

- Coordinate in creating Product Internal Norms - OPC, PPC, PCC, SRC & PSC for all plants taking into consideration of quality parameters of market cement data.

- Monitoring and implementation of safe working practices in Quality department.

Quality Complaint management & technical support

- Analyses quality problems and complaints and propose remedial measures to prevent recurrence. Coordinate for Customer complaint redressal through involvement of plant, Marketing/ TCS team.

- Monthly reporting of quality complaints status to management, plant wise, market wise and product wise in coordination with plant team.

- Assist the marketing and technical cell departments and provide guidance on quality-related matters.

Product Development and Optimization

- Drive new product development and optimization efforts to achieve quality improvements while optimizing costs.

- Development of Value Added Products.

- Optimize product variable costs and ensure safety measures for all personnel.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

- Collaborate with other departments and HODs for quality control and assurance, ensuring seamless integration of quality standards across the organization
