Job Title: VP - Operations & Site Head

Position Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director, the VP-Operations & Site head will be responsible for managing and supporting all plant operations activities at the plant level situated at Pune, Maharashtra.

We are looking for a candidate with strong technical and leadership qualities to support green and brownfield operations.

As a key hire at a growing company, you will have exposure to senior management, to all activities, and you will be influential in championing and developing our culture. Our employees are expected to function with a high degree of independence while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that is dedicated to the development of new therapies for diseases.

Key Responsibilities

- In-charge & Accountable overall Plant Operations with strong experience in Biologics manufacturing, from scale-up to commercialization and responsible for handling end to end site operations and production planning.

- Look after all functional aspects of Production, Engineering & Maintenance Projects, Process, EHS & Administration.

- Responsible for review of operational costs and managing of Profit & Loss of Sites from Operations Point of View. Implementing initiatives as per the expansion plan of the company. Work with MD goal's to be a low-cost manufacturer.

- Should have proven experience of successfully facing several international regulatory audits (European & US FDA, SAPRA)

- Maintenance of all index like Production Index, Quality Index, Facility index, safety index, etc as per the company requirement in responsible function.

- Productivity- utilization of Plant occupancy & Capacity.

- Manpower Planning for the Responsible departments, actualizations and scale up the organisational culture to support and implement green and brownfield project expansions. Make sure all the manpower utilization and optimizations with the plant.

- Co-ordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.

- Participate actively in standardization and cost reduction, develop and motivate the cost-effective alternatives and improvements in production processes.

- Organizing, planning and coordinating the entire product development including requirement analysis, finalizing parts specifications, designing, verification & validation, etc

- Reviewing the operational practices, identifying the areas of obstruction/quality failures and advising on system and process changes for qualitative improvement and energy conservation

- Site budget preparations and proactively manage the budget. Provide MIS Reports as per the management requirement.

- Regulatory compliance and follow up at local and at Delhi level

- Responsible for new project management, facility expansion and any other planned CAPEX at the site.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a science or Pharma discipline (MSC, B. Pharm, M. Pharm) required with 5+ years of experience in biologics and overall experience of more than 20 year

- An effective team player with a high degree of personal and professional ethics. Possesses strong problem solving, leadership and interpersonal skills. Enthusiastic to learn new things.

- At least 4 years as a key person in managing site operations and production activities.

- Insulin API or drug substance experience is must / be an added advantage

- Age - below 50 year's dynamic leader with a good attitude.
