We are recruiting Vice President - Government Relations & Public Affairs

Role Summary:

The Vice President - Government Relations & Public Affairs will be responsible for leading the company's engagement with government agencies, policymakers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. The role requires a deep understanding of public policy, regulatory frameworks, and strategic advocacy to advance the company's business interests, ensure compliance, and enhance its reputation. The VP will work closely with internal stakeholders across business units to shape policy initiatives, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities for business growth through effective government relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Government Relations & Policy Advocacy:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.

- Establish and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, regulators, and industry associations.

- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their impact on business, and drive appropriate advocacy efforts.

- Represent the company in policy discussions, public forums, and industry coalitions to shape favorable business policies.

Regulatory & Compliance Strategy:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and legal requirements.

- Provide guidance to senior leadership on regulatory trends, risks, and implications for business operations.

- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to navigate regulatory challenges and ensure business continuity.

Public Affairs & Corporate Reputation Management:

- Develop and implement public affairs strategies to enhance the company's image and brand with government stakeholders.

- Drive thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, position statements, and public policy research.

- Engage with media, industry groups, and public stakeholders to communicate the company's position on key policy matters.

Strategic Business Support & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Identify opportunities for government partnerships, grants, and incentives that align with the company's strategic priorities.

- Support business units in managing relationships with public sector clients and navigating government procurement processes.

- Work collaboratively with internal teams on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives to align with government policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 15+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or a related field within the IT Services/Technology sector.

- Proven track record in engaging with government bodies, policymakers, and industry associations at national and international levels.

- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, public policy, and compliance requirements affecting the IT Services sector.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

- Ability to analyze complex policy issues and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.

- Experience in crisis management, public affairs, and corporate reputation management is a plus.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Law, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.

- Deep understanding of the IT services industry and emerging regulatory trends.

- Strong political acumen with the ability to navigate complex governmental landscapes.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

- Experience in managing government affairs teams and external lobbying consultants.
