Job Description - The Head of SRE is responsible for engineering infrastructure and platform solutions and translating technology requirements into the underlying component design with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.

Description :

- Responsible for reviewing and transforming technology solutions and design patterns in collaboration with enterprise technology, application and architecture architects to enable increased reliability and high-speed continuous deployment.

- An important aspect of this role is to lead problem resolution and promote resolution of complex multi-technology infrastructure and service outages. Through holistic work in all technology areas, the candidate ensures quick solutions to technology problems and continually improves presence with an iterative, software-driven and well-founded approach.

- Responsible for leading and managing the delivery of high-level initiatives, working with PPD executives to ensure services are delivered as agreed, and proactively driving continuous service improvements.

- Recruit, train, and develop a team that consistently performs above average and meets business and technology goals

- Build a DevOps and SRE culture and enable the transition to modern infrastructure management and deployment practices.

- Follow SRE and chaos engineering approaches across all strategic systems to predict and prevent outages and improve solution availability.

- Manage and resolve high-priority business-impact incidents and support to resolve critical incidents quickly

- Act as the primary interface for PPD functions, enabling effective delivery and integration of activities for products and platforms across the enterprise.

- Identify application and analysis patterns to support better service level objectives while integrating self-healing and resiliency patterns.

- Provide strategic business and technology advice and guidance through key initiatives to ensure adequate reliability, security and observability processes and architectures

Profile :

An ideal candidate should come with 15+ years of experience and demonstrate the following skill set

- Systems Engineering & High Availability

- Software Engineering & Development

- Solution Integration, Build, Test and Validation

- Cross-Domain expert with deep proficiency in at least two tech domains

- Working knowledge of the application tech stack including networking
