Vice President - GL Control - Financial Services

Desired candidate: 8+ experience. Looking for candidate with experience in internal controls / internal audit in banks or financial services industry.

Location : CO, Mumbai

Qualification: Chartered Accountant with 8 year + post-qualification experience

Experience: 8 year or more of post-qualification experience, preferably in internal controls / audit in banking or financial services industry. Should have operational experience of controls around Core Banking Solutions (CBS) and GL systems. Candidate should have good working knowledge of RBI circulars and accounting standards issued by ICAI. Should have good understanding and working experience of Internal Financial Controls / SOX framework.

Job Description:

- Involved in quality controls / testing of operating effectiveness of controls of functions

- Control on Chart of Accounts used by transaction booking systems including core banking system

- Setting process on new accounts, processes relating to Financial Control

- Investigation and resolution of exceptions in GL, TBs, sub systems etc.

- Control month-end Trial Balance along with substantiation / proofings

- System enhancements, BRDs, UATs, etc relating to CBS and other sub systems

- Review of New Product Approval Notes and setting the accounting entries for new products and their variations.

- Reviewing controls around new Product / system Rollouts from financial control perspective.

- Documenting life cycle accounting for all products in the Bank

- Testing of accounting entries on periodic basis.

- Assigning and re-enforcing GL ownership at various levels

- New transactions undertaken by Bank and their migration to/from Bank platforms

- Reinforcing and embed strong control framework around current processes.

- Presentations / MIS for senior management on controls etc.

- Supporting periodic statutory and regulatory audits from financial control perspective.
