Vice President - Head of Fund Taxation.

Principal responsibilities

- Oversight of appointed Tax Advisors from Big 4 across the fund ranges to ensure accurate and timely services from the vendor

- Gather insights on Tax related developments through our appointed vendors (Big 4) and ensure all our Tax activities are completed in accordance to the regulations

- Develop an understanding on wide range of tax matters including fund tax, international tax, UK & Luxembourg corporation tax, and other tax matters relevant to the Wealth and Asset Management sector

- Review preparation of individual and corporate tax returns in the international market

- Co-ordinate Investor Tax reporting process for UK Fund Investors

- Co-ordinate the submission of tax filings covering CGT calculations, WHT calculations, FATCA returns, CRS returns

- Review of tax documentation for local authorities (such as W8-BEN forms)

- Set up tax advisors at account opening where needed

- Provide data for tax declarations and their review. Ensure that declarations are submitted according to deadlines.

- Liaise with tax advisors and ensure that questions from local authorities are answered

Qualifications - External

- Understand Tax implications for Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private credit, Real estate Mutual Funds, Regulated Investment Companies etc

Looking for

- Around 10 years of experience in Fund Taxation

- At least 3 years of experience in dealing with Taxation in Alternative Investment products like private credit, hedge funds etc

- Experience in CGT and WHT calculations

- Sound understanding and working knowledge of IRS Forms W-9 and W-8 and their associated requirements

- Proficiency in financial accounting principles and practices including knowledge of GAAP and IFRS

- Ability to analyze financial data and tax documents

- Should be a certified accountant (CA/ACCA/Equivalent)

- Should have experience working in Tax practice of Big4

- Outstanding communication skills, capable of dealing with clients and intermediaries
