Vice President - Fixed Income Securities

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Fixed Income Securities - GSC Operations in with Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or Manila, Philippines of circa plus 50 FTE. This has a range of diverse teams in charge of Clearing and settlements, affirmations, Client Service and Cash / Nostro Reconciliations. It supports various Securities products for 4 hub balance sheets, HBEU, HBFR, and HBUS and satellites sites from EMEA. Given the diverse mix of products, the regulatory environment, the time zone and the balance sheets, this is a senior role part of the Fixed Income senior management team.

- Ensure the smooth running of the Fixed Income Securities teams in location making sure an appropriate structure exists below the management level and that succession planning is in place.

- Maintain high standards of control, appropriate metrics to monitor service levels and minimal operational loss incidents.

- Work with Change Management to identify process improvements and drive priorities to increase straight through processing, to reduce operational risk and to deliver more capacity within the teams.

- Ensure monthly regulatory and risk processes are completed and signed off in agreed time frames in conjunction with the global Risk & control teams, including DFA, EMIR, Sarbanes-Oxley / Balance sheet substantiation

- Ensure best practices sharing, economies of scale by leading the appropriate strategy implementation.

- Recruit and train local staff as required and establish materials, training program to ensure specialist product and processes knowledge as required

- Support split site processing across KL, Manila and Bangalore, continues to build a stronger business continuity plan to ensure full contingency capability.

- Support the GSC Head of Fixed Income Securities and global Head of Fixed Income Securities to define the strategy, ensure alignment with the TOM and ensure relevant communication to our key partners.
