Role Description : Summary :

Overview :

The Financial Reporting role encompasses the following key functions :

- Closing and Financial reporting including Complex disclosures - for different geographies

- Understanding of legal entity financial information

- Financial analysis

- Business Area Controllership activities

- Support for Regulatory reviews and Audits

- Engagement in Redesign of systems and processes

- Country packs for operational reviews

- Managing Stakeholders expectations

- Working closely EMEA Sourcing team.

This role has oversight responsibility for the integrity (completeness and accuracy) of financial statement/regulatory reporting information recorded in Books and records for various divisions / legal entities.

This requires collaboration with the onshore finance teams and lines of business controllers that have activity in that division / legal entity, so as to ensure that divisions/ legal entity's implications (e.g., accounting policy, regulatory reporting, capital) of transactions are considered.

Responsibilities / Tasks :

- Month end close for Head Office reporting for approximately 10 plus countries with diverse and complex system architecture and platforms including FRRR platform.

- Accounting and reporting for approximately 70 plus legal entities via the onshore CFO function, including IFRS reporting to Head Office and support external audit work as and when required.

- Preparing local regulatory returns, where applicable

- Reconciliation of IFRS and HGB (German GAAP) financials

- Monthly BASTA reporting for German Central Bank

- Preparing the Group Consolidation and any other relevant sub-consolidation for financial reporting purposes for review by the appropriate CFO function, if applicable.

- Driving the One EMEA Monthly Operations review calls.

- Participate in Finance system or process enhancement initiatives

- Participate in regional finance and business finance control activities, including General Ledger Reconciliation, Substantiation and metrics

- Participate in Month-end cost closing process and other group wide projects

- Participate in new IFRS rollouts and impact assessments

- Managing the day-to-day relationship between Sending Locations and Finance, ensure strong client relationship and build up a collaborative model

- Generating MIS Packs and participate in scheduled KPI calls with clients

- Assist to drive process changes in the team to be more efficient and ensuring we still operate in a controlled manner

- Control the overall governance aspects of the processes and have a complete and thorough understanding of the Process control environment.

- Managing and developing team, create back up and resiliency, ensuring its optimal utilization, knowledge management through regular updates of SOPs and attrition risk management

- Knowledge Management and Talent Retention

- Performance management and Succession planning for the team.

- Lead, Participate and Execute Finance PSC strategic initiatives.

Experience / Exposure :

- The candidate must be a highly-motivated and high performing individual.

- He/She must be able to handle all levels of complexity in their product coverage or area under control, be able to shift focus of task with relative ease and be flexible enough in shifting workload in accordance with changing priorities, and be comfortable dealing with a sometimes stressful and fast-paced month end priority-driven environment.

- He/She is also expected to have a good understanding and working knowledge on the SAP system architecture.

- 12+ years working experience (preferably in Finance teams of banks, securities firms, investment banks or professional accounting / audit firms or in a similar capacity in a BPO / KPO center).

- Prefer knowledge of trading products, their valuations and control processes. Prior experience in a controllership role would be highly valuable.
