The Role Responsibilities : 

Business Decision Support and Analytics : 

- The role covers Group CCIB and as such involves all markets supported by the bank on the coverage side of the business.

- Should be able to self initiate specific areas of investigation/deep dives to understand trends, market forces, risks and opportunities to meet agreed targets

- Responsible for owning delivery of - finished product on an end to end basis - be it either an MI, pack of specific insight, the person should be able to own delivery with a view that it can be directly presented to senior stakeholders

- Should be able to provide business context/commercial insight where applicable in understanding performance and leverage that to develop relevant forward looking projections

- Support the requirements for performance reviews and executive meetings such as CC Monthly Performance and the CCIB Management Meeting

- Ensure close integration of reporting and performance outcomes of regional businesses with the group for consistency of messaging and business performance narrative

- Be adaptive to dynamic demand and understanding of decision making requirements to help provide relevant data solutions and insight

- Support Balance Sheet, capital and liquidity requirements through an understanding of its impact on consolidated business performance and support active balance sheet management for strategic planning

- Ensure impact on business performance outcomes is understood due to change in upstream or downstream processes and systems

- Team Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness

- End to end support to the CCIB Finance team covering all outcines for e.g. business performance reports, analytics, planning and partnering with various finance and business stakeholders

- Help upskill the team profile by imparting knowledge of business nuances, products and outputs

- Contribute in any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process

Our Ideal Candidate:

- A mature FP&A professional with relevant experience in financial services industry

- Experienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatments

- Sound understanding of banking business basics, key product offerings, P&L and Balance Sheet performance and market understanding

- Experience in banking is preferred and will be very advantageous

- Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of business performance management outcomes

- Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.

- Strong ability to understand financial statements and synthesize them into meaningful analyses as required. Develop analysis & interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making.

- Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders

- A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner

- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations

- Ability to culturally orient in diverse & international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
