Vice President Finance

Role Summary:

This role will augment the Business Planning and Financial Reporting teams by owning up the Management accounting, management reporting and provide adequate, timely, relevant, and detailed visibility and analysis of the key performance indicators linked to the financial position and performance of the organization.

Key Focus areas:

- Collaborate with the Sales, Analytics, Information technology, Human Resource, Actuarial, Products and other functions to track and review key performance indicators such as Premium, Expenses, Commission, Benefits paid, losses, capital consumption, profit margins etc.

- Identify, study and discuss the variances of spends to budget/ forecast/value generation for every major cost center and profit centers and proactively identify opportunities for improvement or reduce wastage and drive their logical conclusion.

- Analyzing the business proposals and formulate the business propositions for commission & incentive payouts for partners, its tracking and review, in line with the approval Commission policy.

- Providing visibility to the stakeholders with respect to unit cost analysis for New Business /Renewal and its regular alignment with the business plan This includes the fleet on street productivity analysis, the cost of issuance, cost of servicing, unit cost at the economies of scale.

- Movement of inforce month on month and various cuts of premium; wrt the capital consumption and Expense of Management compliance.

Qualifications & Competencies:

- Seasoned with relevant industry experience, MBA from a premier institute or CA with above 12 years from Life Insurance sector with Bancassurance experience

- Effective communicator & Collaborator, ability to work with varied domains within the organization

- High business acumen, understands and can move the strategy forward.

- Manage key stakeholder relationships with Shareholders, Business channels, Governance structures and other teams
