Vice President - Finance - Insurance

Key Outcomes :

- Manage shareholders capital and optimize return on capital for the branch and the Group.

- Calculate and manage regulatory solvency

- Support the origination of business and advise India GAAP accounting treatment

- Provides timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders

- Effective management of outsourced functions (including client technical accounting and non-technical payments) to Bangalore office, asset management and cash management team.

Major Functions :

a. External client service :

- Advise clients and business on accounting treatment of products and transactions

- Liaise with auditors to support audit activities and provide all requested financial and other information in coordination with Group.

- Represent the company on relevant industry committees.

b. Internal client service :
 
- Contribute to the business as a Local Management Team member.

- Active involvement for decision making.

- Motivate the Finance team to provide excellent service to the business.

- Maintain high standards of corporate governance and compliance reporting.

- Provides financial and tax input to strategic planning processes.

- Lead business planning process for India Branch

- Responsible for cost projections, cash projection and cash management.

- Responsible for the analysis of financial and non-financial information, new business and other statistical information to support business needs and opportunities.

- Ensure financial data quality and compliance with internal requirements and guidelines.

- Overall management of day to day financial operations.

- Projects.

- Implementation of new SAP finance system

- Other group strategic projects
