POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Job Title : Vice President-Finance, Global Operations

Reports to : Global CFO. (Also dotted line reporting to President Global Ops)

Location: Mumbai

Position Purpose

- This role will provide leadership and oversee financial activities for the global operations at Glenmark (Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Quality)

- S/he will serve as a strategic business partner to the Global Operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Responsible for managing the financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, tax and regulatory requirements, processes and controls, ongoing financial modeling and annual business plan.

- Responsible for evaluation/approval of all major commercial decision of Supply chain (i.e. procurement strategies, inventory strategies/ days, loan licensee rates, third party procurement, logistics etc.) Spend of $ 500 Mn. (Approx)

- Develop and manage financial plans based on a solid understanding of the underlying strategies and in close collaboration with cross-functional peers supporting the Operations group.

- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the financial planning and forecasting process, including the production of the annual budget.

- Evaluate the financial results of ongoing business strategies and initiatives.

Education and Experience

- A qualified Chartered Accountant is a must. Additional qualification of MBA would be preferred.

- Total work experience in the range of 15-20 years.

- 7-10 years- experience at Leadership level managing the Finance function is essential. Experience in pharma manufacturing environment is essential (prerequisite).

- Statutory & Regulatory Audit Awareness.

- The candidate must be a self-motivated team player who can communicate with, and relate to, people at all levels within the organization.

- Entrepreneurial : Should be able to spot opportunities for incremental improvements in the functional area and be able to provide creative ideas for the larger organization

- Inspire and Influence : Should be able to build a relationship with the team and be able to effectively resolve conflicts between team members and communicate tough decisions. Should be capable of inspiring the team to give their best through both his written and oral communication, hence have good oratorical skills.

- Coaching and mentoring : Take leadership in mentoring the team for a higher growth.

- Strategic Orientation: Should work with a long term focus in mind and should be able to work with the management team to bring out the business objectives and performance metrics.

- Stakeholder management: Should be able to adapt with different leadership styles and manage the expectations of the management group. Should also be able to lead a team of high performing individuals and manage their aspirations.

- Culture :Should respect the existing work cultures that might be present in different plants/sites and use management tools/techniques to bring in changes wherever required, without causing turmoil within the organisation.

- Should be a good listener to his subordinates and his colleagues, the mark of a true leader.

Skills

- Leadership skills. Leadership by example is a preferred trait.

- Ability to set the agenda, take the team along, inspires trust and have high personal integrity.

- Strong focus on delivery and results with high drive and energy levels.

- High levels of persuasion and facilitation skills

- Flexibility, adaptability and able to think laterally in the different environment.
