VP Finance


Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop and execute financial strategies, policies, and plans to support the company's short-term and long-term goals.

- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.

- Monitor key financial indicators and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

- Collaborate with other departments to drive cost efficiency and optimize financial performance.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and guidelines.

- Prepare accurate financial forecasts and variance analysis reports, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying and explaining significant variances.

3. Financial Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets for internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and implement robust financial controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets.

4. Treasury and Cash Management:

- Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity, including monitoring cash positions, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital.

- Oversee banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and ensure compliance with banking covenants.

- Develop and implement cash management strategies to maximize investment returns and minimize financial risks.

5. Compliance and Governance:

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.

- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits and implementing audit recommendations.

6. Leadership and Team Management:

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

- Set clear goals and objectives for the finance team, regularly evaluating performance and providing constructive feedback.

- Develop talent pipelines, identify training needs, and promote professional growth opportunities for team members.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (master's degree preferred).

- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly desirable.

- Proven experience as a Finance Director, VP-Finance, or similar senior finance role in an FMCG or consumer goods company or beauty industry.
