Looking for Vice President, Global Finance and Controllership

Work Timings: 2 to 11 PM

Overview:

Reporting to the shareholder, the Vice President, Finance & Controller assumes a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the company. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President, Finance & Controller would be, working on their financial plans and economic modelling. The Vice President, Finance & Controller is responsible for preparing financial dashboards and overseeing all financial responsibilities for the organization.

Mandate: Quickbooks, Zohobook, SAP/Zoho Finance, MIS & Reporting, Financial Dashboards, Transfer Pricing, Working with MNC or Multiple Countries

Job Duties:

- Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company including budgeting, financial planning, and optimization of assets.

- Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in financial systems for the company.

- Coordinate, prepare and analyse financial statements, dashboards and information reports.

- Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the shareholders & board members and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.

- Prepare all necessary tax returns and filings and ensure compliance with changes in Canadian federal and provincial taxations regulations.

- Manage cash flow, forecasting and all other Treasury functions.

- Optimize the handling of local and national banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.

- Ensure compliance with local, provincial and international reporting requirements.

- Ensure compliance with all changes in Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles with an in-depth knowledge of ASPE as well as a working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.

- Perform the duties required of Corporate Secretary including the preparation and filing of provincial Annual Returns.

- Perform the duties required of Controller for subsidiary companies, investments and the Companys scholarship program for children of employees.

- Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry.

- Administer and maintain the Companys Employee Share Purchase Plan.

- Act as the lead employee with external and internal auditors and prepare necessary documentation for their use.

- Prepare all reports and analysis required by the US parent company including the Finance Committee, Tax Department, Accounting Department and Treasury Department.

- Arrange and negotiate the Company's annual insurance programs.

- Arrange and negotiate all of the Company's operating leases for equipment.

- Review all property leases in conjunction with the Operations Department.

- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.

- Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls in conjunction with SOX guidelines.

Requirements:

- CA with 15+ years of experience in senior-level finance or accounting position in MNC.

- Experience in strategic planning and execution.

- Experience in global finance, tax and treasury management.

- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.

- Knowledge of federal, provincial and international financial and taxation regulations.

- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
