VP Finance - Center of Excellence Division (India) Havas Media
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic VP Finance to lead the finance function of our Havas Media India's Center of Excellence (CoE) division in India. The CoE division primarily focuses on managing the financial operations of a Captive office or unit, with key responsibilities centered around Billing, Contracting, and Captive unit Profit and Loss (PNL) management. As the role holder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success and strategic growth of the CoE division.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the CoE division's goals and the overall company's vision.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making, cost optimization, and revenue growth.
2. Billing and Contracting:
- Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to establish robust contracting procedures, minimizing financial risks and maximizing value for the company.
3. Captive Unit PNL Management:
- Manage the financial performance of the Captive unit, analyzing PNL reports, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Partner with operational leaders to develop and track budgets, forecasts, and financial targets for the Captive unit.
- Sound Knowledge of Transfer Pricing transactions for Captive unit
4. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, adhering to both company standards and statutory regulations.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment, mitigating financial risks and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles.
5. Financial Analysis and Decision Support:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Support business leaders with financial insights for strategic planning and investment decisions.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
- Encourage skill development and knowledge enhancement within the finance team.
7. Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives and foster strong working relationships.
- Engage with senior management and present financial performance, forecasts, and recommendations.
Skills and requirements:
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience as a relevant senior financial management role, showcasing a successful track record in financial leadership and decision-making.
- Risk Management and Corporate Law: In-depth knowledge of risk management practices and a thorough understanding of corporate laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
- Data Analysis and Forecasting: Expertise in managing data analysis and forecasting methods to provide accurate financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive business growth.
- Financial Management Software: Proficiency in utilizing financial management software systems and MS Office applications to streamline financial operations, reporting, and analysis.
- Efficient Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently and effectively solve complex financial problems while minimizing potential losses and maximizing the financial well-being of the organization.
- Strong Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate finance teams, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive financial initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure financial operations run smoothly.
- People and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, build relationships, and convey financial information clearly and concisely.
- Analytical Mindset: An analytical mindset with a strong aptitude for processing numerical data, interpreting financial reports, and identifying trends and patterns to drive informed decision-making.
- Professional Qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA in Finance to ensure a solid foundation in financial principles, accounting practices, and strategic financial management.
