Desired Skillset:
- 15+ year track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required
- Dynamic leader who has directly managed team of highly competent developers & analyst in fast paced work environment
- Strong leadership skills & Strong project management skills with experience of delivering high quality projects on time.
- Experience in building, leading & managing large multi-engineer projects and mentoring topnotch engineers in consulting companies
- Development and support experience in Web domain with experience on delivering high performance systems.
- Architecting, developing, implementing and maintaining highly available and highly scalable systems on cloud
- Experience with database modelling and development, data mining and warehousing.
Responsibilities:
A. Business focus
- Handle budget planning, spend and tracking for your area of responsibility.
- Set up the processes and OKRs to enable timely delivery of projects with high quality.
B. Delivery
- You would be required to own customer deliverables and ensure, along with project
managers, that the project schedules are in line with the expectations set to the customers.
- Partner with delivery team to collate, analyse and present data and drive clear insights to lead decisions that improve KPIs.
C. People management:
- Team building
- Identify the right talent to build the team to solve customer problems
- Build a training program to help tailor the talent for project success
- Mentorship:
- Mentor & grow Engineering team to lead up the projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced team members.
D. Technical Focus:
- Management knowledge in data system development, software development, deployment. Ability to dive into details with engineers and distil to a high level for executives, customers and non-technical audience.
- Oversee Architecture & design of technically robust, flexible and scalable solutions.
- Align with Technical leadership to influence, guide & champion adoption of best practices to build scalable architecture though process.
- To be able to perceive technical objectives and be able to clearly articulate them for the team.
- Work with the team members on the detailed architecture of the proposed solution/feature and advise on best practices and direction.
- Must be hands on with a few web technologies, but be aware of the changing landscape to accommodate new ones.
