Reporting to -Head eCommerce Business Operations
The VP of eCommerce Operations is responsible for driving long-term profitable growth and increasing levels of customer satisfaction through online channels. This position is responsible for optimizing company's direct online to consumer initiatives in terms of revenue, conversion rates, ROI, usability, and functionality. Key focus is placed on deepening our direct interaction and relationships with consumers while supporting an Omnichannel view of Jio. The role will require the management of a large team (30-50 FTE).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all activities for the new online business, starting and building up from scratch focused on driving e-Commerce, Sales and Marketing
- Management of the eCommerce P&L through detailed forecasting, budget development and oversight, revenue generation and marketing activities in conjunction with other internal and external teams
- Recruit, coordinate and motivate the new team to drive growth
- Support direct sales activities of online resellers, including recruitment, performance management and reward
- Lead business development activities to position the company's products in new channels
- Lead all other operational activities in the UK including logistics, customer service, etc.
- Champion development of ecommerce capabilities and marketing programs which will drive aggressive sales goals and optimization of site-wide Key Performance indicators
- Oversee paid strategy, implementation & execution of all online marketing campaigns, including Search, Affiliate Marketing, Video, Retargeting, and Display Networks
- Build online sales playbook ensuring all reporting is actionable, working to ensure that every investment is delivering maximum return against defined objectives
- Define and lead high priority initiatives including lifetime value models, audience segmentation, and retargeting initiatives
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate in any specialization
- Masters in Business Administration in Marketing, from a premier institute
Years of Experience -15+ years
Candidates with experience with:
Online Retailers (Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal)
Digital Banks
Airlines
Travel Portals
Should have handled a large team
Good track record in improving eSales
Knowledge & Skills
- Online/e-Commerce B2C Sales and Marketing experience from Telco (Operator), Mobile/Smartphone, IT Hardware or Consumer Technology sectors or specifically online Retailers focused on Mobile, Smartphone or Consumer Tech
- e-Commerce experience driving large direct online sales P&Ls (above 1000 Crore Rupees as minimum).
- Sales - and strategy planning
- Leadership experience - proven track record in developing high performance teams
- Ability to recruit, manage and motivate high performance teams with differing profiles and levels of experience
- Leading edge knowledge on eCommerce field (sales, conversions, AOV)
