Title - VP of Ecommerce Operations, India

Location - Bangalore

Mode - Work from office

The VP of Ecommerce Operations will be responsible for overseeing all ecommerce operations in India, including managing P&L, supply chain, account management, and day-to-day functions.

This role involves driving strategic growth initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency, and integrating various functions such as logistics, procurement, customer service, and vendor relations. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience, optimize the supply chain, and meet revenue targets. This is both a strategic and operational role, reporting directly to the COO within a flat hierarchy that emphasises collaboration and decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Marketplace Strategy: Developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for selling products on various marketplace platforms. This includes identifying target marketplaces, assessing competition, and setting growth objectives.

- Inventory and Pricing Management: Monitoring inventory levels across different marketplaces to ensure adequate stock availability and work with the Procurement and Supply Chain Team for the required actions.

Relationship Management (Marketplace & Clients):

- Build and maintain strong relationships with both marketplace account managers and key clients. Negotiate terms, resolve disputes, and identify opportunities for preferred placement or promotional activities. Schedule regular client check-ins to gather feedback and focus on upselling and cross-selling new channels and business opportunities.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams such as Key account management, Supply chain, Advertisement, and finance to ensure seamless integration of marketplace operations with overall business goals and processes.

- Revenue and Profitability Analysis: Monitoring and optimising sales to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

- Managing P&L for the Assigned Country: Creating and managing the complete P&L for the assigned country and driving the topline and bottom line and delivering them against the set targets for the quarter and year.

- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Staying informed about marketplace policies, guidelines, and best practices. Ensuring compliance with terms of service, product listing rules, and advertising policies to avoid penalties or account suspension.

- Continuous Improvement: Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and optimise performance metrics across all Teams.

You will fit into this role if you:

- 15+ years of experience in ecommerce, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Have 5+ years of experience in managing multiple marketplaces.

- 7+ General Trade or Modern Trade experience.

- Must have a few years or strong understanding about E-commerce experience.

- Preferred: Experience in managing FMCG and CPG brands, particularly within the healthcare, wellness, and beauty sectors, is highly desirable.

- Must have experience with managing and handling P&L.

- Are Passionate about building revenue growth.

- Dive headfirst into ownership.

- Have an entrepreneurship mindset.
