Vice President - Delivery Operations - Systems Integrator Firm - IIT/NIT/BITS/REC

Location : Delhi / NCR

Report to the Senior VP- BU Head.

Note : Candidate with full time engineering degree from Premier institutions will only be considered. Management degree from an institution of repute is desirable not mandatory.

Major Responsibilities :

- Provide day-day management and leadership to a team size of approximately 600+ software development professionals, growing at a rate of 30%/year.

- Ensure that delivery targets are met - revenue and margin attainment based on Company's Annual Operating Plan.

- Nurture, guide and help grow a first level management team, steering them towards consistency in process and procedures.

- Intricate planning and management of resources - hiring and bench management in accordance with established targets.

- Create a process driven eco-system that utilizes the best practices from the industry, such that the operation can scale as demands increase.

- Continuously interface with Clients, ensuring timely and quality delivery and act as the focal point for all escalations.

- Manage the centre of innovation - drive an innovative culture through the organization. Lead efforts in evaluating new technologies and how they could benefit clients. Promote the development of Company's IP in niche areas.

- Manage Quality - drive a Quality driven process through the organization. Transform current line leadership to assume leading stances in software quality.

- Interact with headquarters on planning and strategic initiatives. Own the Fiscal planning process for the delivery group.

- Strive for operational excellence by establishing Key Metrics and owning reporting of the Operational health.

- Assume responsibilities for compensation management for the entire team.

- Manage attrition - Get connected with the rank and file and address root causes for above average attrition rates.

- Work with HR in formulating policies and procedures as they pertain to managing the group.

- Ensure streamlined communications internally and externally.

- Responsible for end-to-end proposals, estimation, resource planning, onsite-offshore delivery model and profitability, corporate reviews, audit etc.

Desired Qualifications :

- 20+ years of experience with reputed SI firms and a proven track record of working with International clients.

- P&L management of US$40M+/year

- Bachelor in Computer Science from IIT or REC mandatory. Master in Business Management is a definite plus.

- Strong technical acumen required. Must be very familiar with modern technologies. Extensive background in Java is necessary.

- Proven expertise in building large teams number in excess of 1000 software professionals.

- Strong written and oral communications is a must.

- Ability to engage clients at CXO/CIO level to highlight business and value propositions in a consultative manner.

- Must possess expertise in implementation, roll-out, support & maintenance, shared services model, value-engineering, audit, testing, and development services.

- Good understanding of commercial aspects of IT outsourcing business, manage P&L etc.

- USA based work experience is an added plus.

- Strong presence and leadership qualities. Must be able to inspire large teams.
