Vice President - Data Strategy - Bank

Associate - Data Strategy @ a leading global bank in Bangalore

A leading global bank in Bangalore (shift time- 1pm to 10pm) is looking out for Associates for its Wholesale Credit Risk Data Management team which is responsible for developing data management function across various critical business initiatives. This position would focus on Data Management practices like Data Quality Management and Data Controls Management.

Responsibilities :

- Contribute to drive data quality issue resolution, track progress and resolve potential issues or dependencies

- Contribute to drive the agenda for centralized and comprehensive data controls implementation

- Represent the team in various data governance forums and data related strategic initiatives

- Project Management

- Assist with the documentation of a data dictionary

- Participate and contribute to Data Governance forum

- Work closely with Technology, various businesses, CDO, Operations and Reporting on various aspects of Data Management processes

- Define and drive operational improvements around data management and Data Governance

Skills :

- 10-17 years of experience in business and data analysis

- Experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Control Management and Gap Analysis

- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills & analysis of data with respect to corresponding business and technology processes

- Experience in working with huge amount of data

- Understanding of concepts and hands-on experience working with RDBMS, SQL and BI tools

- Experience in Risk / Banking / Financial products, preferably Wholesale Credit products, Traditional Credit Products, Derivatives, Securities Financing

- Experience in Credit Risk management

- Experience with data visualization tools

- Critical thinking, ability to understand the problem, analyze root cause and cross-dependencies, come up with the solution/options, document and to present to various audiences
