Vice President - Credit Risk Analytics - Bank

- Assist development and monitoring the performance of various scorecards and strategies on the PIL, Cards and HML portfolio

- Provide analytic support to the Basel II implantation team

- Ensure that standardized coding practice is followed in the team & all codes are documented.

Major Challenges :

- Achieving a fine balance between analytic output and implementation hurdles.

- Aligning the work at local level to ASP and getting a clearer demarcation of roles and responsibility is another challenge.

- Data Integration in the absence of a data integration solution would be a large hurdle.

Role Context :

- The current situation demands delivery of analytics inputs in terms of segmentation and analysis at a rapid pace. Key focus area is now portfolio growth as bad debt is under control. The account management actions are based on portfolio scrubs as quality of information from the credit bureau has improved significantly. This would call upon the incumbent to drive new bureau strategies, use of multiple bureaus and work with acquisition and account management teams to integrate bureau information into strategies.

Guidance & authority :

- The incumbent shall assist the Head Decision Siences in development of new models, portfolio segmentation and strategies and shall be guided by the area lending guidelines such as RRP, BIM, FIM, Group Audit recommendations and local regulatory norms.

Management of Risk :

- Adheres to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensures timely escalation of control issues and reputation risks.

- Demonstrates leadership on regulatory and compliance matters. Maintains awareness of risk and minimizes the likelihood of it occurring through its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
