- The role is in the Cost Management Analytics department

- This role involves providing meaningful analytics to stakeholders and optimizing costs to improve efficiency and reduce expenses. It involves working with colleagues in Mumbai and across the globe and ensure the team is adequately equipped to deliver on an ongoing basis.

- CMA team in Mumbai is an extension of the Global CMA team providing Analytical and Quantitative Support to the onshore teams. Team caters to Monthly book closure as well as MIS requirements of senior management

Responsibility of the role involves:

- Ownership of Cost Management & Analytics team supporting Global role in cost allocation within the function / region as well as to business.

- Production of ad hoc financial requests, including periodic trend analyses with appropriate explanation and justification, deep dive costs and revenues analysis

- Collaborate and participate in Global/Regional projects and initiatives

- Constant challenge and review of processes to find efficiencies onshore and offshore

- Utilize advance data analytics tools and techniques to extract insights from financial and operational data providing actionable recommendations.

- Be a leader in digital transformation.

- Maintain and enhance the control environment within the team and ensure highest standards of delivery including proper governance.

- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline cost management and control procedures

Key objectives critical to success :

- Extensive experience in Cost Management & Financial Analysis, preferably in leadership role

- Ability to work to high degree of accuracy with logical and structured approach

- Strong communication as well as stakeholder management skills, consulting, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations

- Ability to self-review, identify issues and investigate / escalate appropriately

- Knowledge of industry-specific cost management practices

- Capability to embrace change including new technology and adapt to changing business processes

- Self-motivator who keeps abreast with the changes and ready to take up challenges

Key Skills and Competency required:

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

- A power user of Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint. Acumen and demonstrated knowledge to use visualisation tools (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx) will be advantageous.

- Degree/ Qualified accountant with financial and management accounting background.
