A leading investment bank is looking for candidates with experience of 12-16 years in corporate communications (external communications predominantly)
Key Responsibilities:
External Communication Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive external communication strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Craft and implement messaging that effectively communicates the company's vision, values, and key initiatives to external audiences.
Media Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, including journalists, reporters, and industry influencers.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate press interviews and briefings.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
Public Relations:
- Coordinate and manage public relations campaigns to promote company initiatives, events, and achievements.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for positive exposure and address potential issues.
Content Creation:
- Create and manage high-quality content for external communication channels, including press releases, articles, speeches, and social media posts.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the company's brand voice and messaging.
Crisis Communication:
- Develop and execute crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential issues or negative publicity.
- Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders during crisis situations, providing timely and accurate information.
Event Management:
- Plan and coordinate external events, such as press conferences, media briefings, and public appearances.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful event execution.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, industry associations, and community organizations.
- Coordinate and support external stakeholder engagements, including meetings, presentations, and outreach activities.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of external communication efforts, including media coverage and public perception.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on communication activities and outcomes.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, legal, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment and consistency in external communications.
- Provide guidance and support to team members and other departments on external communication matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations, with a focus on external communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
- Strong media relations skills and experience managing media inquiries and developing press materials.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
