Position: Vice President Coding

Our client is a leading Healthcare MNC.

Job Description:The VP of Coding for will be responsible for ensuring that all operations of CLIENT Coding meet or exceed client requirements and are operationally efficient. Since CLIENT has recently ventured into coding services, it is critical that we quickly ramp to scale and establish industry wide best practices across the coding services. The VP of Coding will be responsible for designing, setting up and managing a process excellence/quality framework for CLIENT that ensures that our coders deliver high quality of work. The VP of Coding may have several Managers of Coding Quality reporting to him/her, each managing the process excellence/quality function delivery for one client (to whom we may provide multiple services), and/or one particular service (which we may provide to multiple clients).

The successful candidates should:

- Create and manage operational frameworks to deliver high quality of work in field of medical coding.

- Create six sigma quality frameworks to drive process excellence for Coding in a clinical context using DMAIC, lean six sigma, or other process suitable quality methodologies.

- Work with delivery leaders to launch and lead six sigma quality projects across Coding

- Set up and manage transactional quality frameworks in a clinical context including quality assessment checklists (for quality assurance leaders), identify CTQ quality metrics, create periodic quality reports

- Work with delivery and training functions to create feedback loops from quality assessment to training and operations management

- Familiarity with clinical documentation coding

- Be able to manage large teams

- Ability to work with teams across continents

- Demonstrated ability to lead & motivate a team to achieve business unit goals

- Extremely high energy team player with a burning desire to succeed in fast paced environment and rapidly evolving market

- High degree of integrity, work ethic and analytical abilities

- Track record ofdelivering high quality services

- Relationship with key decision makers in target market

- Significant travel between the US and India

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

- Certified coder

- 15+ years of work experience, including experience in coding, coding audits, workflow assessments etc

- Strong expertise on ICD-9, ICD -10, and HCC coding

- Ability to provide supervision on quality reviews to the delivery team.

- Team player who can work with multi-geography cross-functional teams

- Experience with healthcare IT (implementation, customization or support for EHR, population management tools, HIE, registry, etc.) is desirable but not essential
