Opening for VP - COE Credit Analysis for Kolkata location .

- Strong Credit product and varied industry knowledge with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Research and/or Risk management. Candidates with a track record in risk approvals or credit portfolio management are preferred.

- Post Graduation in Management, Finance, Economics or equivalent such as a Chartered Accountant would be preferred. Candidates with CFA, USA and other risk management qualifications will be given preference.

- Excellent credit background with strong spreadsheet / financial modelling skills.

- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, preferably those candidates who have traditionally been writing in a research or credit coverage role.

- Strong people management, people development and stakeholder management experience

- Experience in building teams from the ground up and in a strong mentoring capacity.

- Experience in working in an offshored organisation and demonstrable ability to navigate and influence a diverse set of senior stakeholders

Impact on the Business/Function

Ensure consistent and high quality credit analysis output

- The primary function of the COE will be to review and recommend changes to the output of the analysts draft write-ups from the various sector coverage teams prior to submission to the RMs or WMR in order to ensure high quality credit analysis and accuracy.

- Ensure the credit submissions are consistent with the approved guidelines as stipulated in the corresponding FIM/DIMs and approved templates.

- Provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback via a scorecard to each analyst submission that will become part of their performance scoring assessment, as well as direct 1:1 feedback as required.

- In the same line, closely monitor the feedback on the credit submission as provided by the RMs/WMR via TVOBs and adopt any lessons learned or address any data findings or inconsistencies.

- Be closely integrated with the sector coverage teams to ensure CAU deliverables and timelines with regards to T-45 submission timelines and target KPIs are met, as well as support for new business opportunities.

- Play a pivotal role in the on-going Credit Streamlining roll-out by ensuring that the approved templates are adhered to and that the write-ups succinctly capture the key risks, mitigants and supporting analysis from a risk perspective (- writing for risk- ).

- Proactively seek out opportunities to support the RWA accuracy program in identifying data and or model inconsistencies, which could impact the corresponding reporting of RWA.

- This role will also have a dotted line into the CAU Global Head of Implementation and Transformation in order to be abreast with any credit policy changes or initiative roll-outs for consistent adoption across offshore
