Vice President - Business Management Lead
The overall purpose of role :
- The Business Manager for GTIS India drives various initiatives for the GSC India for employee engagement, Compliance, resource and planning, learning & development, internal and vendor governance besides driving the strategic items like location strategy and capacity management.
- The role needs to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders local and global and drive the India GTIS strategy with the Head of GTIS India and GTIS Business Mgmt globally. The individual will be required to communicate issues and status at all levels of the organization as well as managing vendor relationships tightly.
- The job reports into the Global Business Mgmt as well as the Head of GTIS India. The role will have the seat at the Global COO team level for aligning on Global priorities and plans as well.
Key Accountabilities :
Business Manager for GTIS India
Capacity Management :
Drive GTIS Technology & Change in India for effective capacity/real estate Mgmt acting as a conduit between BTCI Operations, India GTIS Technology leads and global tech hub resource management contacts
- Represent GTIS India at the BTCI OpsCo enabling smooth GTIS Run & Change operations working with the other support groups in India
- Deliver the execution & specific programme management responsibilities to drive the set up of the Capacity Planning & Governance Centre of Excellence in Pune
- Work in partnership with divisional Technology Chiefs of Staff globally and the Business Management population to drive implementation of the agreed Capacity & Planning principles
- To program manage key themes/programs on Talent acquisition, Development, and Management
- To program manage critical communication to employees and drive meeting agenda at both LT and Extended LT
- Ability to drive a Business Dashboard that drives the above key business and people metrics at the India LT and Extended LT level
- To enable manage Global Leadership Visits such that we showcase the GTIS India contribution and footprint better
- Ability to hold and track budgets across multiple pockets from both compliance and utilization perspective
- To have presence in the Global BM team and be able to contribute and drive Global programs
Decision-making and Problem Solving :
- Drive GTIS India leadership meetings and regional communications plan
- Provides thought leadership to the wider India team in improving efficiencies and help achieve cost targets and take on the cost challenges proactively
- Manage financial targets while optimizing spend, workforce footprint and creating an efficient organizational design to achieve targets, while delivering against the top portfolio priorities working with the GTIS CoS
- Drive innovation across GTIS within India and actively participate/drive RISE Mumbai
- Pro-actively identify, develop, and retain talent, providing and promoting meaningful learning and development opportunities
- Provide mentorship to the Business Management team in India
- Support change management and compliment internals first process agenda for tech cluster
- Drive Colleague Engagement Initiatives, CSR Initiates, and other process related initiatives
- Proactively highlighting the trends on the topic governed in the role profile and providing solutions
- Excellent Stakeholder Management capabilities across business and support functions.
Risk and Control Objective :
- BICEP program awareness and compliance as guided by the Leadership
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Person Specification :
- Technology and financial qualifications as undergraduate or postgraduate
- Experience working within IT and Consultancy organizations
- Experience in managing large intricate budgets and achieving cost efficiency across multiple areas
- Experience in driving Transformation and bring back actual saves to the organization
- Knowledge of Financial Modelling, Business Case preparations and on the ground experience of delivering on one or more initiatives in the past.
- Strong people management skills.
- Proven track record in vendor management.
- Excellent communication skills that can transcend both junior and senior audiences
- Ability scale up and should be able to manage various levels of stakeholders
