Summary
We are a fast-paced, venture backed, mission-driven company that's addressing the massive market opportunity to sell solar-as-a-service in rural India. We- re building a world-class team committed to changing the way people buy solar. We're looking for a forward thinking, ambitious VP- BIT. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day IT and BI operations of this fast growing company.
About Us
We sell solar-as-a-service to energy poor households and micro-enterprises in rural India. The company has a bold mission: to make modern energy simple, affordable, and accessible to everyone. The company is backed by well known global investors such as the Asian Development Bank, Vinod Khosla's Impact Fund, Schneider Electric, Engie Rassambleurs d- Energies and others.
Our customers make a small initial payment to get a high-quality solar PV system installed. Then it's simply pay-as-you-go for the energy service. Each payment for energy also adds towards the final purchase price. Once fully paid, the system unlocks permanently and delivers free solar energy. The innovative pricing model is called Progressive Purchase, and we are growing quickly in northern India. We help our customers transform a daily expenditure for energy into ownership of a valuable asset. The award-winning business model is disruptive and highly scalable, re-imagining the value chain for delivering energy access at the base of the economic pyramid.
The company is scaling quickly and IT and BI are central to our ability to address the massive market opportunity. In real time we collect large amounts of data about how our customers use our solutions, about the technical performance of our products, about customer payment behaviour, about our large and mobile field force (sales & service), about our customer interactions, about our supply chain logistics network. This is big data, and a massively exciting platform for a strategic and action oriented IT professional to lead.
