Vice President - Telecom
- The Business Head for MSS/CDN is responsible for the overall MSS/CDN business and services strategy including Product strategy and road-map & Go To Market (GTM) strategies
- Ownership of articulating and substantiating decisions regarding new product/ services creation, related investments,successfully taking it to market and growing revenues as planned and evaluate, recommend and influence build/partner/buy decisions on MSS/CDN technologies/services.
- Will also work with global business development, other product/ services heads, sales enablement teams, finance teams, Security Operations Center and the Services support teams.
- Will be responsible for the day-to- day activities of geographically dispersed product managers/relevant teams to deliver breakthrough growth in MSS/CDN services globally
Key KRA's/Duties and Responsibilities :
Product Strategy and Planning :
- Collaborate with leadership and product teams to lead product transformation to the next generation of intelligent, integrated security/CDN platform & services, leading to comprehensive cyber and IT security solutions for the enterprises and secure CDN services globally
- Engage ecosystem stakeholders to align on clear, actionable product strategy and priorities to deliver optimal results for customers and our business
- Drive and facilitate the product strategy and planning process across the ecosystem to provide focus and alignment on critical strategies to delight our customers
- Build momentum and partnerships with the leading security/CDN technology and services providers (internal in case of CDN) to create a road-map that is comprehensive with a vision which is aligned with the trends of the industry
Product Road-map and Execution :
- Drive definition of the product road-map to deliver the development of a next generation set of CDN/security services and products that deliver high value to our customers and that ultimately delight our customers
- Lead decision-making process regarding product development road-map, positioning, pricing, promotions, and operations and sales enablement
- Manage the entire CDN/Security product portfolio and individual life cycles with a cross functional team engagement and through meticulous rigor and discipline that helps the organization provide focus and prioritize investments that ultimately drive revenue and profit goals
- Deliver awesome experiences that delight users with beautiful designs and dead simple solutions to their most important problems
Product Vision and Thought Leadership :
- Lead efforts to build thought leadership for CDN/security services for select verticals like healthcare, banking, finance and Insurance sectors for secure communications, computing and storage that integrate with existing offerings.
- Actively evangelize our CDN/security services vision in the context of the broader technology, security and CDN trends and regulatory environment that is emerging around mobility, social media and cloud services
Team Leadership and Talent Management :
- Cultivate an agile and results-driven culture in which innovation and excellence are expected and customer experiences that are easy, fast and delightful is the standard.
- Provide leadership, motivation and hands-on direction to product management, design and development teams in service to delivering awesome customer experiences.
- Recruit and mentor a world-class product management organization and team; provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to advance their careers
- Motivate the team through proactive performance management, clear accountability and on-going measurement against goals
Required Qualifications and Experience Competencies :
- Thrive in fast paced, lean, demanding customer driven product/business organization
- Possess strong business acumen and the ability to synthesize and analyze data to identify trends and marketing opportunities
- Be a self-starter who can simultaneously manage multiple internal and external initiatives and deliver outstanding results
- Engineering degree with MBA and 18 - 20 years of experience with a minimum of 10 yrs in leadership roles in technology
Product Strategy and business management :
- Technically savvy, with a demonstrated understanding of the economics and dynamics of CDN/security services and product industry. Able to communicate with and inspire engineers on technical topics. Any exposure to software development experience will be a plus.
- A seasoned business leader, and a visionary with proven track record of delivering successful products and services to the market.
- Verifiable success in managing global teams and developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and partners.
