VP - Business Development (Chemicals)

- Responsible for developing strategies for revenue generation, building new customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, helping to solve our customers problems, and selling/marketing Co's products and services.


- The incumbent is responsible for hiring and developing a sales team to achieve Co's revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Based on market and competition research, develops prioritized revenue generation strategies to develop and penetrate domestic/international and commercial/military markets

- Representing Sales and Marketing as a part of FDI's Steering Team (Leadership Team)

- Based on strategies and demand, hires and develops a sales team to drive revenue growth

- Networks, develops, builds trust, and manages strategic customer relationships (both domestic and international) to grow Co's business while maintaining alignment with our Core Values

- Answers questions from domestic and international customers and addresses concerns

- Leverages knowledge of Co's capabilities and "value add" to present attractive customer solutions to grow the customer base and future revenue

- Engages internal company personnel to develop solutions to customer challenges

- Develops, communicates, and negotiates quotes and contracts

- Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets

- Researches and understands relevant international, regulatory, and legal requirements for selling/distributing Co's products, services, and capabilities

- Reviews and prioritizes trade show opportunities. Attends, actively engages, and takes advantage of opportunities by representing and presenting product, relationship building and seeking education opportunities relevant to Co's core competencies.

- Learns and understands the Government acquisition processes and leverages for project and product sales

- Learns and understands research, development, and innovation grant processes and writes proposals to win contracts

- Recommends new and innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of sales and marketing processes

- Assesses marketing deficiencies/needs and advises and updates marketing materials and communication

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE & MBA with Minimum 15+ years of Experience in Chemicals/ Specialist Chemicals Sales

2. Good Technical Knowledge to Understand Technical Issues And Product Range With Respect To Customer Requirement And Ability To Provide Them With An Apt Solution

3. Ability To Work with Cross Functional And Multi-Lingual Teams With Extensive Travelling (50% Time) Will Be Required

4. Knowledge Of the Company Product Line, Product Applications

5. Knowledge Of Customer Complaint Handling

6. Knowledge Of Competitors, Their Products and Their Strategies

7. Knowledge Of Market, Territory

8. Knowledge Of Strategy Formation and Implementation
