Vice President - Bid Management - IT Company-BFSI-Bangalore
Job Purpose:
- The Head of Bid Management is responsible for management of centralized bid team to ensure an efficient, agile bid process across all divisions.
- Overall responsibility for the Bid Team's performance and primary responsibility for senior relationship engagement alongside robust governance and pipeline management.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the Bid Team's submission of compliant, timely and high-quality proposals that have been through internal governance and review process
- Oversee the end-to-end management process, from opportunity identification to contract negotiation, strategic review, creation and submission of proposals, ensuring compliance with requirements and best practices.
- Responsibility for internal reporting to the executive team including monthly board reports
- Responsibility for external engagement with customers and partners, as required
- Lead effective management of team process and reports, including keeping opportunity information up to date on relevant systems such as CRM/Salesforce to support pipeline management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics, industry best practices, and market trends to enhance response management processes and tools.
- Lead and provide strategic guidance to the Bid management team, including bid managers, content team, and Sales Ops professionals, fostering collaboration and delivering winning proposals.
- Responsibility for line management and performance management of the team including annual performance development reviews
- Hands-on experience in managing internal and external deal governance audits and managed 100% compliance on the processes defined.
- Demonstrated success in independently managing large, complex proposals with contract values exceeding $50+ million.
- Strong understanding of the presales process, including opportunity identification, qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Being innovative from knowledge management, CRM system implementation and efficiency, bring in process efficiency within the deal governance etc
- Collaborate with senior leaders, business units, solutions, practice and sales teams to develop and execute a comprehensive response management strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Support for the rest of the team as required
- Management of budget for Bid Team
- Delegated responsibility to manage bid and internal resources effectively
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of the current market and the collation and organization of supporting materials
- Sharing and driving best practice in proposal development and bid process across the Group, looking to develop new and innovative ways to inspire and engage stakeholders
Experience:
- Previous experience in bidding or proposal management
- Previous experience of line management and leading a team
- Strong writing and program management experience are essential
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and working to deadlines
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Experience of winning both public and private sector bids
- Tenacious and results driven with sound business judgement
- Strong influencing skills
- Commercially astute and customer focused
- Strong presentation and communication skills
