Job description: Vice President- B2C Business

Position Summary

The Vice President- B2C Business is responsible for developing and driving the short term and long term strategy for the B2C line of business. He/She owns the P&L responsibility for this line of business. This includes business strategy, product strategy, operations strategy, revenue/budget management. In addition to meeting revenue goals he/she also needs to achieve the long term strategic goals like penetration, market share, acquired / activated users and managing life time value of a user.

As a strategic interface between sales, marketing, IT and Product, he/She will be responsible for charting and driving the roadmap for this LoB in line with the company's overall strategy.

Successful Performance requires:

- An experience in leading all phases of Product Management from research to deployment to success tracking

- Strong understanding of the B2C line of business including Product Management, Category management, alliances, Operations.

- Data-driven approach for decision making

- Out of the box thinking

- Ability to adapt to the dynamic technological environment and adopt best practices

- Ability to adapt to the dynamic business environment

- Ability to work with cross functional teams and lead various projects

Detailed Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Deployment

- Develop and drive the product vision, product strategy for creating a B2C market platform.

- Collaborate with business to Develop, Design and Deploy end to end B2C product solution- architecture, user experience, functionalities, issue prevention tools, user education tools, etc

- Explore new product opportunities based on need gap analysis, consumer feedback

- Define, Track & Drive Key Product Performance Metrics

- Interface between the Technology and Product teams to ensure delivery of front-end customer facing application.

- Source and license of third party data sources, technology and software and services related to development and distribution strategy.

- Craft concepts for new product development according to requirements of category

- Continually work on enhancing the product to achieve viral growth

Business Development

- Strike partnership with various partners to provide additional revenue stream

- Strike partnership with appropriate payment gateways to broaden ability to accept payment from Indian customers

Marketing

- Develop plan to establish strong, relevant brand identity among target demographic in India

- Liasewith product recommendation engines, etc to increase traffic and revenues

- Drive consumer retention/engagement to ensure minimal customer attrition

- Spearhead Social Media campaigns

- Spearhead SEO and other online lead generation activities

- Use web analytic tools to derive insights and strategise marketing strategies, product enhancements, etc accordingly,

- Drive viral adoption and use analytics to support that marketing activities are fueling new user adoption at a low CPA

- Conduct focus groups/market research and use consumer usage data to drive product enhancements.

- Analyse business and support issues to identify trends and take corrective action accordingly

Team Management

- Hire the right talent for delivering the product strategy

- Develop and coach the team to take on higher responsibilities; identifying training needs and potential

- Set the KRAs for his/her team and conduct regular reviews with the team to assist them in strategizing and achieving the Key result Areas

- Drive cross functional teams and various project teams to deliver the strategy for the B2C business

Desired Skills

- Graduate/Post graduate. An MBA would be preferred

- Must have 10 -15 years in a related field with exposure to the online payments/transaction based platform

- Proven experience in owning and delivering successful consumer web product

- Strong alliance network with portals, service aggregators, mobile carriers, etc

- An experience in a start up will be an added advantage
