Designation: Vice President /Asst Vice President(VP/AVP) - Finance
Industry: Banking and Financial Services (BFSI)
Location: Bangalore
Date of Joining: Immediate
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position summary:
The VP/AVP - Finance will be a key part of the Client's finance team, and will direct all aspects of the company's fundraising efforts, including strategy, outreach, negotiations, and reporting. In addition to working closely with funding partners, the incumbent will also play an important role in leading the company's engagement with rating agencies, financial planning, and driving ongoing analytics to help optimize company performance.
Key Accountabilities:
Specifically, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and maintain an overarching fundraising strategy to meet the growing capital requirements of the company
- Liaise and build relationships with domestic and foreign lenders to raise funds
- Prepare, update and maintain financial plan and projections
- Manage due diligence and facility monitoring
- Review documentation and negotiate terms for debt facilities
- Ensure compliance and proper documentation for all debt transactions
- Ensure timely reporting and ongoing compliance (financial reporting, book debts etc) for existing debt facilities
- Explore non-conventional instruments of funding such as Securitisation, Market Linked Debentures, Social Impact Bonds, etc.
- Liaise with credit rating agencies for rating assignments
- Preparation of management information reports, static pool analysis, ratio analysis etc as per requirements
- Manage periodic investor reporting and query resolution
- Automation of regular reports to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting
- Evaluate and implement systems for liability and treasury management
Work Experience:
1. Handling and sourcing lender relationships - domestic and international - preferably at an NBFC
2. Experience of borrowing through diverse forms of debt funding - Term loans, NCDs, ECBs, securitization, assignment etc
3. Negotiating with lenders on financial and documentation terms
4. Working knowledge of relevant regulations, guidelines and other compliance requirements for domestic and foreign borrowing sources
5. Financial modelling and preparation of financial plan and projections
6. Experience in treasury management and systems implementation
Skills:
1. High level of proficiency in Excel, Word and other MS office applications
2. Good communication, inter-personal skills and negotiating ability
3. Analytical capability and problem-solving orientation
4. Appreciation for social/inclusion-oriented business.
Professional Experience / Qualification
The ideal candidate will be characterized by the following attributes:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards
- An understanding of the domestic and international funding landscape
- Familiarity with the compliance environment of the BFSI sector
- Strong technical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills, and excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to engage with the regulators, Board, lenders, investors, and senior management
- Articulate and visionary leader with strong credibility who can take initiative

Education: A Chartered Financial Analyst, CA or Post Graduate MBA from a premium institute with relevant proven experience required.
