Vice President/Assistant Vice President - Legal - Housing Finance Firm - LLB/LLM

VP / AVP - Legal' with a leading Housing Finance Company based at Pune.

Experience : 14 to 20 yrs

Qualification: LLB/LLM

Key Pointers:

- Corporate Lawyer, having expertise in Draftingpolicies . Strong in Non Litigation.

- Experience working with NBFCs / Fintech

- Experience of drafting for treasury / Fund raising Purpose

- Good to have experience of formulating drafts for Listing / IPO of the organisation

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including but not limited to loan agreements, lease agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.

- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the operations of an NBFC.

- Managing and overseeing banking documents, such as loan documentation, security agreements, and credit facilities.

- Providing legal counsel and guidance to senior management on strategic business initiatives, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and mitigating potential risks.

- Advising on corporate governance matters and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

- Conducting legal research and staying abreast of regulatory developments impacting the NBFC sector.

- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk management, and compliance teams, to address legal issues and support business objectives.

- Assisting in the development and implementation of training programs to enhance legal awareness and compliance within the organization.

- Managing relationships with external legal counsel and other third-party service providers as necessary.

- Handling any other legal matters or projects as assigned by the management team.

Requirement: (Experience / Skill / Qualification / Industry background etc.)

- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution; additional qualifications such as an LLM or equivalent will be an advantage.

- Experience working as a corporate legal counsel, preferably within NBFC industry, with a focus on non-litigation matters.
