Vice President - Alternative Funds Reporting - Asset Management

Our client is a leading global alternative asset manager with over USD 100mm under management.

- They are establishing a capability centre in India where they will hire a VP, Head of Financial Reporting for their global business.

- The successful candidate will help oversee the reporting of the various funds managed by our client. and ensure that financial statements sent to clients are in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations. Expectations will include:

- Establishing the systems and processes required to implement a best in class reporting desk for the fund

- Hiring a crack team to deliver world class reporting to the internal and external stakeholders

- Managing the preparation and review of periodic reporting by onshore and off-shore teams

- Engaging with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and client queries

- Participating in various ongoing global initiatives to enhance operational efficiency of reporting though technology

- Continuously reviewing and improving processes through increased automation to drive improved efficiency

Requirements will include:

- An accounting (CA), CFA or strong MBA (Finance) background

- At least 8 years of experience in fund reporting/controlling or fund/auditing

- Experience with alternative asset classes (private credit, hedge funds, private equity, real estate etc) will be a plus

- Ability to straddle conceptualisation, implementation and execution of the overall reporting project

- Experience in analysing, reengineering and optimising processes

- Ability to hire, train, manage and retain a strong team.

- Strong delivery and customer service orientation with a high standard of communication skills
