Job Title : Lead - Talent Acquisition

Role :

To lead the talent acquisition function and abridge the organisation's current skill requirement also create a talent pool in line with organisation's long-term goals.

Key Result Areas :

- Lead the recruitment & selection for open positions in line with the current and future business needs.

- Assess the staffing requirement frequently and create a talent pipeline for the future.

- Develop talent acquisition strategies, hiring plans and the team.

- Lead employment-branding initiatives.

- Map the external competition on talent and skill set.

- Create dashboards and traction for the Management to understand the progress.

- Budgeting and cost control

Key Activities (Critical activities of the job) :

Lead the recruitment & selection for open positions in line with the current business needs :

- Understand the current skill-set requirement for business continuity.

- Screen, select and recruit the best-fit talent for the open positions.

- Create and introduce robust candidate evaluation methodologies.

- Liaison with the internal stakeholders and external prospective candidates for a seamless hiring process.

- Improve the hiring statistics by enhancing the hit ratio, recruiter efficacy of the team and drop in the regret ratio.

- Assess the staffing requirement frequently and create a talent pipeline for the future

- Accurately access the business needs and increase the churn-out of the hiring funnel.

- Create a mix of talent pool basis the moving business dynamics.

- Build and maintain critical talent pipelines supported by the talent pool.

- Execute, monitor and refine the talent pipeline on a consistent basis.

- Develop talent acquisition strategies, hiring plans and the team

- Create new hiring strategies e.g. social media hiring, head hunting apart from the traditional methodologies.

- Design and implement hiring plans based on the approved strategy.

- Optimally utilise all existing source of hiring and deploy the same basis the volume and quality of the required skill-set e.g. job boards, campus hiring etc.

- Augment the hiring standards to ensure least number of positions are made open to the external consultants.

- Create Internal Job Posting programs for intra organisation movement of talent

- Expose the talent acquisition team to new hiring techniques through continuous experience and knowledge sharing.

- Ensure that the talent acquisition team is supported and trained to the required levels.

- Lead all employment-branding initiatives

- Identify and attend conferences, industry associations, and social network events to represent the organisation brand.

- Lead the annual walkins event aligned through newspaper advertisement.

- Map the external competition on talent and skill set

- Keep abreast with the new hiring techniques and methodologies in the industry.

- Create industry contacts with other hiring managers and employees for relationship building.

- Map the competition to which the organisation is losing its talent and skill-set.

- Create dashboards and traction for the Management to understand the progress

- Quantify the efforts of the talent acquisition team at every stage.

- Track, monitor and be cognizant of all talent acquisition numbers.

- Create hiring dashboard and share insights with the Management on a pre-defined frequency.

Budgeting and cost control :

- Prepare the annual hiring budget encompassing past expense trends and new initiatives planned.

- Monitor the expense and report the trend to Head HR as a monthly input.

- Control the areas of expense where the actuals are going beyond the budgeted numbers.

Key Relationships :

Internal : All Department Heads, Hiring Managers, Principals, Head HR and Talent Acquisition Team on a day-to-day basis.

External : Hiring Consultants, Vendors-Job Portals, Collage and Campus, Relationships established through personal networking

- Competencies (other than functional)

Qualification : Post Graduate in Human Resources

Work Experience : 8-10 years experience in talent acquisition preferable from Education Industry.

Behavioural :

Essential : Business Acumen, Persuading and influencing, Fostering teamwork, Stakeholder Management, Networking, People Management, Ability to work under pressure

Desirable : Analytical thinking, Negotiation Skills, Proactive

Position reports to : Head HR
