Head - Operations
About:
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to oversee the execution of events, tournaments, and tours.
- This role is responsible for ensuring seamless planning, budgeting, execution, and stakeholder communication to deliver high-quality experiences.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing large-scale events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale events, tournaments, and experiential campaigns.
- Ensure seamless coordination between internal teams, vendors, and clients to meet project objectives.
- Oversee quality control and compliance with event specifications and brand guidelines.
Financial & Budget Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Track expenditures, negotiate contracts, and optimize vendor partnerships for cost-effective solutions.
- Provide financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and key decision-makers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and creative teams to align event strategies with business objectives.
Vendor & Resource Management:
- Identify, onboard, and manage external vendors, ensuring top-tier service quality.
- Stay updated on the latest industry innovations, including event production technologies (lighting, AV, sound, etc.
- Develop SOPs for vendor engagement, procurement, and service-level agreements.
Risk & Crisis Management:
- Proactively assess potential risks and implement contingency plans for operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Manage on-ground crisis situations with quick decision-making and leadership.
- Team Leadership & Development Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team.
- Foster a results-driven and collaborative work environment.
- Provide training and upskilling opportunities for the operations team.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in operations management, event/tournament planning, and large-scale project execution.
- Strong budgeting and financial management capabilities with a cost-optimization mindset.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Extensive network and relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and vendors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and event management tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Post-graduate degree (MBA/Event Management) is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in event operations, logistics, or sports/event management
