General Manager IT Applications

We are looking for a General Manager, IT Applications, which is a senior leadership position with VGOS School IT department. The person would be responsible for both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the IT Applications team. This role would require a strong understanding of both business needs and IT capabilities. This person would possess the below skills, qualification and experience.

Desired No of years of experience: 15-20 Years

Education Qualification: BE CS, IT, ECE /BCA/MCA

Role & Responsibilities:

- Strong and proven experience in software application design, development, deployment, adoption, training in a professional environment.

- Managing the vendors and software development partners end to end starting from the evaluation stage to delivery stage.

- Hands on experience in writing codes, reviewing codes, designing system architecture, defining CI/CD practices, managing agile projects end to end.

- Experience of managing Chairman and CEO level stakeholders in providing the day-to-day updates on the developments, change requests.

- Able to work under a tight deadline, work under pressure, having sensible and logical thinking to take decisions with reasoning.

- Manage a Team of Applications Managers, Software Developers, Project Managers, Solution Team and ensure success of the team.

- Strong experience in writing the Business Requirements based upon the problems identified and take management sign off.

- Create Functional requirements documents using as is scenarios, to be scenarios, solution architecture, propose technology stack.

- Plan resources around the application /platform's development.

- Overseeing the entire IT Applications department, including staff, budgets, and projects.

- Manage IT Operations including application management, application uptime, user requests in terms of change management, incident management,

- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT applications, ensuring data security and system uptime.
