VFS Global - Deputy General Manager - Projects

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategize and oversee all project aspects within the region, encompassing scheduling, resourcing, cost management, quality assurance, compliance, scope management, and meeting customer expectations.

- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, identifying and executing necessary activities for successful project completion.

- Manage project budget, resource allocation, and schedule project timelines in close collaboration with senior management.

- Continuously monitor project schedules with senior management and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

- Determine project goals and establish evaluation measures for comprehensive assessment of project completion.

- Ensure proper project execution based on the designed plan, making necessary alterations for successful implementation.

- Maintain responsiveness to customer or supplier demands, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

- Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures, forecast revenue, profitability, and manage cash flow according to established accounting policies and procedures.

- Implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve project issues promptly.

- Adhere to all policies and compliances of the given region, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and guidelines.

- Support other regions on global projects, bid processes, scoping, and lead project management office activities for the region.

- Ensure smooth rollout of special projects in neighboring regions.

Additional Responsibilities

- Build a project team in the region and manage regional projects in coordination with the Project Management Office.

- Manage special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the management.

- Coach and mentor colleagues to ensure high-quality outputs.

- Create a talent pipeline (1:2 ratio) of successors.

- Monitor and ensure that all Gen AI Projects / Programs are running as per agreed schedule.

- Ensure that the organization's sustainability targets are achieved.

- Ensure judicious use of natural resources.

- Adhere to the environment health and safety policy / objectives and guidelines of the organization. Critical Competencies

Education

- Graduate or Global equivalent degree with Project Management Professional Certification.

Experience

- 9 - 12 years management experience in Information Technology or related industry.
