- Primary responsibility is generating revenue
- Experience and track record in product sales; SaaS platform License sales/contracts.
- Generate leads through networking and other channels like Events/Conferences
- Networking in the relevant industry using online channels like Linked In and offline channels
Must Haves:
- Experience in building Sales plans, Business Unit P&L review
- Managing, coaching, guiding sales process, sales team
- Revenue and Margin Growth Responsibility
- Exposure to EdTech and Publishing/Media Industry Exposure in managing Institutional/corporate (B2B) sales in either Education or corporate training is a must
- Functional Knowledge of technology to be able to answer basic questions about the product
- Rolodex, past experience of generating leads/sales in Professionals Services/ Learning and Education businesses.
- Hands on Experience to price a solution, write proposals, doing presentations and negotiations.
- Ability to create a Business plan and forecasts revenue
- Familiar with CRM, and the ability to run sales campaigns
- Savvy with digital marketing, social media, etc
- Should be able to lead inside sales teams and digital marketing initiatives
Nice to Have:
- Understanding of technology and content business in the education markets- esp. publishing and EdTech segments
- Partnerships with the technology and industry ecosystem in the e-learning business - example CMS, CRM, CIM, Courseware Authoring co.'s, Assessment/certification bodies, industry associations.
Experience & Education:
- Experience 4-10 years
- B.E/ B.tech and MBA Degree preferred
