Versata - Chief Technology Officer - IIT/NIT

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of a Versata portfolio company, the Chief Technology Officer is the senior most technical leader responsible for product evangelism and delivery of enterprise software solutions and related technical services to our customers.

- This is an exciting leadership role for an enterprise software guru to be the Chief Technology Officer for one or more companies within Versata’s large (and growing) portfolio of best-in-class enterprise software companies.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :

- Creating compelling product vision and roadmap to ensure that our products become better and stay ahead of the competition

- Driving product and support innovations that will meet the needs of our existing customers

- Ensuring that our customers are excited about our product vision, our newest releases, and our enhanced support programs

- Creating content driven, deep technical relationships with our largest customers

- Achieving an expert level understanding of our product, customers’ environments and requirements

- Partnering with our delivery and support teams to drive prioritized execution of product and service plans

- Synthesizing customer insights to identify valuable cross-selling opportunities among the products you lead and those of our other portfolio companies

YOU MUST POSSESS :

- Rare combination of business and technical excellence - 50% Pre-seller and 50% Product expert

- 10+ years of hands-on technical experience with large-scale enterprise software application development and/or enterprise software solution implementations

- Proven track record of identifying and exploiting new opportunities to continuously grow a business

- Demonstrated experience of engaging large sophisticated global customers in deep technical discussions and making them confident that you know their problem better than they do

- Technical genius par-excellence in programming, writing algorithms, and architecting solutions

- Flair for technical presentations, hosting technical webinars and creating compelling artifacts and demonstrations of features and use cases

- Computer Science or Engineering graduate/ post-graduate/ doctorate with top marks from a top technical university or – IIT’s/ NIT’s/ etc.

- A true “roll up the sleeves and get it done” working approach; Demonstrated success as a problem solver, operating as a result-oriented, self-starter

- Comfort “working virtually” with teammates and customers around the world
