Key Responsibilities
- Managing the entire deal lifecycle including
- Sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities, in our areas of interest
- Championing of identified deals through the investment committee
- Coordination of due diligence and closure of deal transaction (end-to-end)
- Actively add value to the portfolio companies through business inputs, networks, fund-raising support.
- Managing of exit from portfolio companies at the appropriate time
- Continuously research and build-out of knowledge base and fund thesis
- Contribute actively towards overall fund level strategy
- Active participation in the start-up community, develop a robust ecosystem of peer VCs, CEOs, etc.
Key Skills/Abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, analytical and communication kills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to plan and manage a variety of deals
- Understanding of the entire deal cycle from sourcing to closure
- Intimate understanding of technology trends and well versed with start-up business evolution Can engage with seasoned startup founders well
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate creativity and intellectual flexibility in an uncertain and rapidly changing environment
- Strong networks in the start-up and corporate communities
Qualification/Experience Required
- 1-5 years of experience in Venture Capital investments, in a top tier consulting firm, as a startup founder, or in a role working closely with Startups
- Healthcare domain knowledge/investing experience required a big positive.
- Technology background required (Experience or Education)
