Finance Controller :

We are searching for an experienced Finance Controller who will oversee end to end finance function. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in the success of the company, with responsibility of managing the P&L, cash flow and statutory compliance. This individual will be responsible for financial accounting, compliance, risk management and working capital management. It is a senior leadership position that will be working directly with the management.

Key Job Responsibilities

Finance and Accounting: Work with a team to ensure book keeping is completely accurate and up to date, and P&L, cash flow statement and balance sheet as well as weekly reports are prepared in a timely manner.

Forecasting and Planning: Build 13 week cash flow forecast, help build sales and P&L targets and drive the financial and strategic planning of the business with the leadership team

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all tax, statutory and regulatory compliance is met in time and full

Stakeholder Management: Work with multiple stakeholders, including investors, vendors, employees and banks to manage relations to grow the company

Working Capital Management: Manage cash flows to ensure that working capital days are optimized, working capital is efficiently used and funds are allocated to the highest priority and highest contribution activities

Business Growth: Use financial controls and planning as a mechanism to incentivize business growth and work with key leaders in the company to achieve targets.

Oversee the purchasing, accounts payable, and travel and expense functions along with the Record to Report process.

Perform preliminary variance analysis and research and resolve errors relating to misallocation or under accrual, prepare to correct entries and supporting documentation

Additional tasks will include statutory reporting (audit etc.) and getting involved in various projects aimed at improving processes etc.

Key Job Requirements

- Degree in Accountancy or recognizable accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA and etc.)

- 5 - 8 years of post qualification relevant working experience

- Proven work experience as a Finance Controller with strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.

- Familiar with Ind AS (IFRS), US GAAP is an advantage

- Dynamic and bright personality with a positive attitude and excellent communication skill. A team player with good organization skill and an eye for accuracy and detail

- Willing to work in demanding dynamic environment

- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders.

- System-savvy, proficient in Microsoft Excel

Process :

Process: 3 interviews + 1 assignment

- This gives you an opportunity to get to know the core team better and evaluate whether you'd like to spend a large proportion of your day with these individuals.

- Total duration: We'll try and fit in our entire process into a two week window, not including the time you might need for the assignment

- Interview content: The discussions test functional expertise, potential team dynamic, ownership levels, problem solving and creative thinking. Sometimes we ask open ended hypothetical questions, other times we just talk about your approach to solving problems. Irrespective, all discussions have a defined framework for success. By doing so we try to rule out the impact of personal biases on hiring decisions.
